Community Garden Manager (CGM) will be in charge of all CFI County (Athens, Morgan) County sites.

CGM will supervise and evaluate community garden staff and volunteers

CGM will write monthly progress reports to be given to the Executive Director

CGM will be the “Site Supervisor” for the Summer Feeding Site Projects at the Glouster and Hope Garden Summer Youth Programs (June 14-August 22).

CGM will coordinate community garden fundraising efforts.

CGM will coordinate and engage community volunteers to expand Community Garden Project.

CGM will organize and attend necessary meetings

CGM will supervise the Youth Entrepreneurs At Hope (YEAH!) program.

CGM will develop, organize, advertise and implement a minimum of 15 community garden workshops each season.

CGM will oversee a smooth transition to self-governance at the Westside Community Gardens (WCG)

CGM will keep the City of Athens and OU up to date on garden issues that may be of concern to them.

CGM will survey gardeners in October, work with OU Food and Consumer Sciences class to collate the data and report the results to the Executive Director and gardeners in early November.   

CGM will help with the distribution of seeds and plants to any gardeners who need them.

GDM will help research and write grants to expand the ACCG program.

** Bachelors or Associates degree with 3-5 years experience in a related field
** Must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance
** Ability to work from home, including internet connection
** BCI background check required

This position will start March 15th, 2010 and finish November 30th, 2010. 
20 hours a week, $15 per hour, no insurance or other benefits available, (except access to a lot of fresh food.)
