We are compiling the local Seed Saving Inventory for 2012. If you know any member of any of the old families in this area, it could be that they or their kin are keeping varieties of plants going that are excellently adapted to local conditions and are found nowhere else on the planet. Too often recently, the last elder gardener has died without anyone realizing the value in taking an interest in said vegetal treasures and their unique garden varieties disappear. So, if you want to be a hero for good taste and biodiversity, I would love to be introduced to these old timers, or anyone who might know these old timers. And if you or your friends are personally saving seeds, please contact me at bj279708@ohio.edu or (859) 801-3137. Thank you very much.

CFI Donation Station and ComCorps have teamed up to assist local diabetes patients, by providing them with local produce, free of charge. Way to go Nick Welch and Kaitlyn Kelly for coordinating this assistance, and also to all the farmers, the Earth and the Sun, for their generosity
